Study Spaces

Looking for a place to study between classes, or need a location for a virtual class in minutes, but don't want to leave campus? Here are some available study spaces! Please take note that spaces will be open at different times depending on the day. See the tables below for more information.

Borrowing a Laptop Computer

If you need a laptop computer to use for class(es) taught remotely, you can check one out through ATUS.

Using a Classroom Space for Remote Learning

Classroom spaces have been reserved for student use as remote learning sites for the winter quarter. These are not reservable for individual use, so students should plan to use headphones to listen to the online session so as to minimize the overall noise level in the space.

Using Library Study Rooms for Remote Learning

The WWU Library has 13 study rooms on floors 3-5 of the Wilson Library Building. The smaller rooms are suitable for a single student learning remotely; larger rooms would serve well for a group of students in a single class looking for a space to participate in the remote class together. These spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, consult the Library Study rooms website.

Using an ATUS Computer Lab for Remote Learning

Students without a laptop might consider using an ATUS computer lab to participate in their remote class sessions. The schedule of available labs will vary during the quarter; students can find an updated list of available spaces by scanning the QR code below or visiting the lab schedule webpage:

Using a Common Study Space for Remote Learning

Many campus buildings have common study spaces. While these are not private, and may not be as quiet as a classroom space, many are quite comfortable and conveniently located near many of our classrooms. These spaces are generally available for the same hours as the buildings they are located in.

If you want to see the specific layout of a common study space, check out the building floor plans.
