About the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs

The Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA) works closely with the academic deans, department chairs, faculty, students, student support services, and external agencies to insure the coordination, assessment and improvement of the University’s undergraduate programs and curricula. The AVPAA reports to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The AVPAA oversees the Center for Community Learning, the Fellowships Office, the First-year Academic Programs, and the University Catalog.

In addition, the APVPAA coordinates the annual orientation program for new faculty members and department chairs and oversees several interdisciplinary programs, centers, and institutes.
